　　The Conference Marking the 70th Anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence is held in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping attends  the conference and delivers an important speech titled "Carrying Forward the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" at the Great Hall of the People.

July 15-18

　　The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China convenes its third plenary session in Beijing from July 15 to 18, 2024. A total of 199 members and 165 alternate members of the Central Committee attend the session. Members of the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and leading officials from other relevant departments are present at the meeting in a non-voting capacity. Some of our colleagues working at the primary level and a number of experts and scholars who are delegates to the 20th National Party Congress also attend the meeting in a non-voting capacity. The Political Bureau of the Central Committee presides over the meeting. General Secretary of the Central Committee Xi Jinping delivers important addresses. At the session, the Central Committee hears and discusses a report on the work of the Political Bureau, presented by Xi Jinping on behalf of the Political Bureau, and considers and adopts the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Deepening Reform Comprehensively to Advance Chinese Modernization. Xi Jinping delivers explanatory remarks on the draft version of the Resolution.

August 22

　　The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) holds a symposium at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to mark the 120th birth anniversary of late leader Deng Xiaoping. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivers an important speech during the meeting.

September 9-10

　　The National Conference on Education is held in Beijing from September 9 to 10. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, attends the meeting and delivers an important speech. He emphasizes that building a leading country in education has been a long-cherished aspiration of the Chinese nation since the advent of modern times.

September 14

      A meeting to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the National People's Congress (NPC) is held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivers an important speech emphasizing continuous efforts to uphold, improve and run the system of people's congresses, China's fundamental political system, to good effect.

September 20

　　A meeting celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is held in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivers an important speech calling for further giving full play to the salient political advantage of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in developing whole-process people's democracy.
