“Working Together to Advance the Belt and Road Initiative” is a speech delivered at the Opening Ceremony of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing on May 14, 2017. The speech states, “The BRI is rooted in the ancient Silk Road. It focuses on the continents of Asia, Europe, and Africa, but it is open to all countries. We should build on the momentum generated to build the Belt and Road into a road for peace, a road of prosperity, a road of greater openness, a road of innovation, and a road that connects different civilizations, and steer the BRI toward greater success.”
