According to the remarks, “At its core the Initiative is about promoting infrastructure development and connectivity, linking up the development policies and strategies of individual countries, deepening practical cooperation, encouraging coordinated and interconnected development, and realizing common prosperity. China has proposed to host this year’s Forum. The purpose of the Forum is to discuss cooperation, to work together on building a cooperation platform, and to share together the benefits of cooperation in a way that ensures our peoples are better-off because of the BRI.”
