BEIRUT, June 7 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of the Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party, a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) visited Lebanon from Tuesday to Wednesday.
The delegation was led by Qu Qingshan, a member of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee.
During the visit, Qu met with the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament and head of the Amal Movement Nabih Berri, leader of the Progressive Socialist Party Taymour Jumblatt, and general secretary of the Lebanese Communist Party Hanna Gharib.
He also attended the China-Lebanon Dialogue on Exchange and Mutual Learning among Civilizations, during which he gave to the Lebanese audience a detailed introduction to the 20th CPC National Congress.
The Lebanese side applauded the achievements of the 20th CPC National Congress and expressed the willingness to expand exchanges and mutual learning with China, deepen practical cooperation between the two countries, and promote the development of bilateral relations.
