upper reservoir at the Yixing Pumped Storage Hydropower Station, Jiangsu
Province. China leads the world in installed capacity of pumped storage
hydropower. By the end of 2021, the scale of such stations in operation
and under construction within the State Grid's area of operations
reached 26.31 million kilowatts and 46.43 million kilowatts,
