Xi Jinping fitst introduced the idea of the “Chinese Dream on November 29, 2012， when visiting the exhibition “The Road to Rejuvenation’. He stated, “We are now all talking about the Chinese Dream. In my opinion, achieving the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has been the greatest dream of the Chinese people since the advent of modetn times.”Since then, he has highlighted the subject on many important occasions both at home and abroad.
The essence of the Chinese Dream is to achieve national prosperity and rejuvenation, and a better life for the people. It integrates the interests, the expectations, the vision and the yearnings of the whole nation and all the people. It is the dream of the country, the nation, and every individual.
The Chinese Dream is a dream of peaceful development and win-win cooperation. It mirrors the dreams of all peoples from every corner of the world, and will be of benefit not only to the Chinese people, but to every- one.
Realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has been the greatest dream of the Chinese people since modern times. Since its founding, the CPC has set the realization of communism as its paramount ideal and ultimate goal. After more than 90 years of hard work and unremitting efforts, China is drawing closer to the goal, and is more confident of its ability to succeed than at any time in history.
The 19th CPC National Congress in 2017 defined the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as the historical mission of the CPC in the new era. Realizing the great dream will be a great struggle, a great project, and a great cause. Party development will play a decisive role in the overall effort.
