Editor's Note

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the Party Central Committee, with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core, has placed significant emphasis on the role of public communication work in the overall agenda. A series of substantial decisions and measures have been implemented, leading to comprehensive advancements in the Party’s theoretical innovation. The concepts of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the Chinese Dream have deeply resonated with the people. The promotion of core socialist values and the best of traditional Chinese culture has been widespread, strengthening the mainstream intellectual public opinion. Cultural confidence has been amplified, and the nation’s cultural soft power and the influence of Chinese culture have seen a significant boost. This has further solidified the intellectual unity across the Party and society.

Xi Jinping has delivered a series of important statements on the Party’s public communication work, introducing new thoughts, perspectives, and judgments, which serve as fundamental guidelines for the Party’s public communication work in the New Era. To facilitate a deeper understanding of these statements among officials and the public, we have compiled them into this current volume.

This volume includes 52 manuscripts by Xi Jinping on the Party’s public communication work since the 18th CPC National Congress, some of which are being published here for the first time.
