Editor's Note

In an effort to solidify and expand the accomplishments of the Aspiration and Mission education campaign and to continually address the issue of favoring form over substance that plagues grassroots level work, we have compiled this current volume. This volume is designed for both officials and the public to learn from and use.

The volume commences with Xi Jinping’s s speech at the conference reviewing the Aspiration and Mission education campaign. It is divided into nine topics, encompassing 182 important statements by Xi Jinping. To facilitate the reader’s study, each topic is prefaced with a summary of its content. These important statements are selected from over 70 key documents, including speeches, reports, directives, and instructions made by Xi Jinping from November 15, 2012, to April 23, 2020. Many of these important statements are being published here for the first time.
